CDC to distribute over 5,000 packs of relief goods to flood-battered Kapampangans

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, August 13, 2012-Clark Development Corporation (CDC) is set to distribute an initial 5,000 packs of goods consisting of basic food needs to Kapampangan families severely battered by the two-week intense rains caused by "Gener" and southwest monsoon.

In a statement, the state-run firm disclosed that the recipients will be from the cities of Mabalacat and Angeles and town of Sto. Tomas.

Each pack consists of rice, instant noodles, and coffee.

CDC will also provide relief goods to the towns of Guagua and Masantol and City of San Fernando also in Pampanga ang Aeta victims in the municipalities of Paniqui and Bamban in Tarlac in the coming days.

Latest figures from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) reveal that 426 barangays were flooded  displacing 207,190 families or  882,296 individuals. (Joelyn G. Baluyut)
