CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga-Hilcres Consolidated Corporation has begun construction of its Best Western Bendix Hotel, which is billed as the city of San Fernando’s first “green hotel.”
“The 46-room building, which is located in McArthur Highway in barangay Dolores, opens this January. It will utilize solar-assisted technologies and water harvesting facilities,” firm Chief Executive Officer Rion Patawaran disclosed.
“This supports our environmental protection and preservation advocacy and the city government’s quest to boost tourism investments,” City of San Fernando Mayor Edwin Santiago said.
The three-star international standard Best Western Bendix is the first recipient of the business tax incentive prescribed by City Ordinance No.2011-020 otherwise known as the Investment Incentive Code.
Based on its agreement with the investments board, 60 percent of employees of the hotel will be residents of the city. (Rosa Bianca R. Pamintuan)
