Legarda Echoes Call to 'Go for Zero Waste'

Senator Loren Legarda joins Mother Earth Foundation and the youth in calling for a zero waste economy during the 2nd Zero Waste Youth Convergence held at the Philippine Normal University in Manila on January 7, 2015. Legarda, principal author and sponsor of the Ecological Solid Waste Management Law, said that young Filipinos should take control of their future by being actively involved in addressing environmental issues facing the country today particularly the problem of solid waste management.

In her speech, Legarda urged local government units to effectively implement the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act and encouraged the youth to take part in the Zero Waste campaign.
