Mindoro Catholic radio station burned down

MANILA, Oct. 26, 2011― Some P2.8 million worth of private property went up in smoke as unknown men razed DZVT-CMN radio station to the ground at about 1 a.m. Wednesday. 


Police reports said the Catholic church-owned radio station, located at Barangay Labangan Poblacion in San Jose City, Occidental Mindoro, was burned down by still unknown persons.
Lito Villador, DZVT station manager sought police assistance immediately upon learning of the incident.
Fire Officer 2 Edgardo Salvacion and the San Jose Scene Of the Crime Office (SOCO) led by PCInspector Teresita M. Catchillar conducted immediate investigation.
Two caretakers identified as Takip Sebastian and Alfredo Salvador were awakened when flames engulfed the rear portion of the building. The fire was declared under control at 4 a.m.
Investigators and employees still face a blank wall as to the motive behind the arson. (Melo M. Acuna)
